Captain Awesome is a top-rated children book series. This one is №3 of the series. Eugene and Charlie were the two main characters. They were not ordinary primary schoolmates. Eugene was Captain Awesome and Charlie was Nacho Cheese Man. They formed a squad to ‘protect the universe from bad guys’. However, do not misconstrue that they can fly or have superb muscle for fighting. The author is down-to-earth in this series. They only changed their uniform when someone needs help.
In this book, Sally, a new student in Eugene’s class was introduced. The story went on to give readers the idea that we should respect new-comers and help them merge with the group. Also, when you accidentally come across a pet, in this book, a cat that belonged to Sally but ran away, you have to return it to its owner no matter how much you love it. In fact, the new kid, Sally, became ‘Supersonic Sal’ in the later books of Captain Awesome.
This children book is targeted at children aged below 10. The fonts are big and you can finish reading it within an hour. It is funny and carries at least one message each story. It is a fabulous pastime for young kids.
