Miss Wilson chose a first-person perspective in this story. Tracy had not seen his dad since she was born. Her mum left her when she was very young. This is a story of Tracy’s life in an orphanage. Like a normal child, she did not consider much about the others’ feelings. She often resorted to violence when she was bullied. However, situations change after a female writer visited her. She learnt to share food and her other favorites with other kids. Although it is a story, Miss Wilson has created a lively character and made you think the girl may really exist. She also indicated some behaviour of adults that children hate. She can adeptly write from both the angle of a child and a grown-up. You will agree with me after reading her books.

All in all, Miss Wilson has sharp observation of modern kids and society. This is not a book merely for children, but for parents too.
